Deryl Thomas Bobrowski
April 4, 1957 – March 31, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, son, brother,
uncle and friend.

He will be very sadly missed by his family, daughter Shannon (Sean), son Jeff (Jenna) and adored grandchildren Karly, Braden, Jaxon and Sloan, father Victor (Ivy), sisters Vicki Tronrud and Debbie Small (Rick), brothers Richard (Lorraine) and David (Virginia), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Deryl was predeceased by his wife Patty on March 31, 2008, son Daniel in February 2015, mother Joyce in December 2007 and brother-in-law Andy Tronrud in August 2005.

Deryl was born on April 4, 1957 in Morris, Manitoba but soon moved to Winnipeg where he first lived in St. James until 1969 and then moved to Charleswood where he met his beloved wife Patty. He and Patty married on June 3, 1978 and in 1980 the first of their 3 children was born. They lived in Winnipeg where over the years he worked alongside his grandfather, father and brothers managing the operations of Imperial Steel Products Ltd., the family business. When time allowed Deryl, Patty and the kids would spend all of their free time at their cottage at West Hawk Lake where in summer he loved to take the kids water skiing, wake boarding or just
cruising the lake with their beloved yellow lab Bailey by their side. Many moonlight cruises would quietly end those beautiful summer days. In the Winter he made sure that all of the sleds were running so the family rides would be smooth with no breakdowns. After long rides, a few drinks and a good meal, nothing like a soak in the hot tub listening to music ended the day perfectly. Deryl and his family also loved to travel and did it as often as possible…but it was on cruises that was Deryl and Patty’s time to travel as just a couple. His private travel happened when he would cruise on his motorcycle, taking a number of trips to Sturgis for the motorcycle rally with the guys.

His family was his passion. He was full of love and generosity for everyone but especially his
family. His grandkids were his pride and joy and the highlight of his life. Karly, Braden, Jaxon
and Sloan loved him and will miss him dearly……

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff of Riverview Hospital for their supportive and passionate care during dads stay.

Dad, you are so loved. You fought a good fight and have earned your rest. We will miss you dearly and keep your memory close to our hearts.

A private service has been held for Deryl with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Addictions Foundation of Manitoba. Condolences may be made online at chapel lawn funeral home.
