Thomas Wellington Paquin

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Thomas Paquin on April 19, 2017. He was born October 9th, 1919 in Winnipeg and lived a long, wonderful life.

He was predeceased by his mother Pearl, father Wellington, son Kirk, wives Dorothy Sybil and Dorothy Elizabeth as well as his siblings Bert, Gordon, Celia, Myra and great-granddaughter Morgan.

He is survived by his son Greg (Barb), siblings June and Richard as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

Tom worked at Tan Jay International for 42 1/2 years as Purchasing Agent. Outside of his career, Tom enjoyed life to his fullest. He loved golf and played into his 97th year at Southwood, then Wildewood Golf Courses. He was especially proud of his Hole-in-One at 90 years of age as well as golfing his age twice that same month. He enjoyed dancing and never lacked a willing partner.

Tom was a self-professed wine maker extraordinaire and loved to share. He spoke fondly of all wonderful people he met throughout his life - his golf buddies were especially important as well as all of the poker friends he met over the countless years he played. He spoke highly of the gang at Summerland where he enjoyed the dances, get-togethers with his special friend Winnifred and always that great glass of wine. He always remained smiling and optimistic.

Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers will be gratefully declined.
