Ruth Pilz
June 23, 1927 - February 27, 2017
Ruth Liddy Pilz (nee Herold)
June 23, 1927 - February 26, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ruth Pilz on February 26, 2017.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Heinz, parents Liddy and Karl, sister Jutta and brothers-in-law Heinz, Klaus and Steve. Ruth is survived by her sons Frank (Lucy) and Chris, daughter Maureen, grandchildren Tina (Jimmy), Susie, Melissa and Ashley, great-grandchildren Olivier and Matteo, her sisters Traute and Marianne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom surrounded herself with her family, children and the family pets. She always put the needs of others well before her own. Mom was patient, kind and generous beyond words. Her sense of humour and tenacity (even in her older years) were among her best qualities. Some of mom's best times were spending time with family at the summer cottage. Mom will be forever remembered and loved.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the wonderful care and support provided to mom over the past few years.
A private interment will be held at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba.
