<div itemprop="description">Marie-Paule Barchyn <br>1921-2017 <br> <br>Peacefully on March 17, 2017, Marie-Paule Barchyn (nee: Boisvert) passed away at the age of 95. She is survived by her three sons, Jim (Susan), Daniel (Maureen) and Peter (Martha), six grandchildren, Thomas (Emily), Katherine (Chris), Emily (Mike), Sarah (Zachary), David (Zoë), and Danielle (Richard) as well as seven great-grandchildren, Reneé, Grant, Eve, Casey, Oliver, Hazel, and Juniper. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1995 as well as her sister Andreé, and brothers Jacques, Pierre and Paul. <br> <br>Mom lived a full and rich life. She was born in Chandler, Quebec August 3, 1921, and lived her early years in Quebec City. Growing up she spent her summers along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River where she had many adventures and developed her love of animals. Her family moved to Montreal in her teen years. In her twenties, she worked for Avon Cosmetics as one of their first female managers. After meeting the love of her life Donald in the late 1940’s, they married in 1951. She lived in Montreal until 1964 when the family moved to Winnipeg. After Donald passed away, she remained the center of our family until her passing. <br> <br>Following a private internment, there will be a celebration of her life at the Gates On Roblin, 6945 Roblin Boulevard from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, March 24, 2017. Friends and family are invited to our celebration to share their fondest memories of Mom. <br> <br>The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the excellent care and compassion they provided her in her final years. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society. <br></div>
