Lilly Eisbrenner-Daudrich (nee Lang)

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Lilly Eisbrenner, aged 87, of Winnipeg, MB on May 29, 2016. Mom passed as she had hoped – peacefully in her home – into the presence of her Lord.
Lilly was born on July 14, 1928 to Philip and Amalia Lang in Falkenstein, Galizien, Poland, and the eldest of two children. In 1939, experiencing the full fury of the Second World War, they were forced to move by the German military to settle in Wartegau, Poland, losing all their possessions. Following, she spent a year in a concentration camp in Lodz, Poland, barely escaping death and scattering the entire family. But the Lord opened doors through the Red Cross and miraculously they reunited with the help of a Polish family. By the end of 1945 they settled in Germany. Mom joined a bible study group and got to know the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Shortage of housing and work made Lilly and her brother Gerhard look for a new life in Canada, immigrating to Winnipeg in September 1951. They were joined two years later by her parents.
Lilly married John Daudrich in November 1954 with whom she had four children. She joined McDermot Ave. Baptist Church, where she was baptized in December 1955. Mom was an active member, teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and helping at Nutimik Baptist Camp for many years.
She is survived by her children Erna Wiens (William), Margaret Wiebe (Ken), Esther Dyck (Peter) and Walter Daudrich (Dawn). She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother Gerhard Lang, her parents Philip and Amalia Lang, and her husband John Daudrich. Also by her second husband Rudy Braun and her third husband Edward Eisbrenner.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday June 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
Mom’s favourite Bible verse was from Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nutimik Baptist Camp or to Meadowood Manor.
Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in care of arrangements.
