<div itemprop="description">Laura Lena Anderson <br>1928 - 2016 <br> <br>It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Laura Lena Anderson on December 6, 2016 at the age of 88. <br> <br>Laura and her husband Bill moved from Assiniboia, SK to Winnipeg where they spent most of their over 65 years of marriage. Laura and Bill lived in the same home for 50 years. She loved tending to her yard and almost had it the way she liked it! She enjoyed visits from her grandkids and spoiling them as much as possible! <br> <br>Laura was predeceased by her parents Frank and Caroline Silzer, her brother Larry, sisters Ella, Hilda, and Verna, and her son Colin. She is survived by her husband Bill Anderson, her daughter Darcine (John) Oades of Winnipeg, and son Blair Anderson of Calgary along with her four grandchildren Kristian (Chelsea) Nespor, Courtney Nespor, Logan Anderson, and Taylor Anderson, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her three sisters Bertha Hysuick of Moose Jaw, Edna Rowe of Saskatoon, and Clara Parry of Nanaimo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws who were a very close part of her family. <br> <br>As requested by family, a memorial service for Laura will take place in the spring of 2017. <br> <br>Donations in Laura’s memory will be gratefully accepted for Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca) to aid in the battle against the ailment that her husband has been battling for several years. She will be interred at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue, next to her son Coke. <br></div>
