<div itemprop="description">Jose Francisco <br>1946 - 2016 <br> <br>Through such immense sadness, and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jose “Pepito” Francisco, who passed away on August 17th, 2016 at home with his loving family all around him. <br> <br>A man of great strength and strong will, Jose took pride and commitment to his church (St Anne’s, St Paul) and with God. He is a legend in our eyes. He is our star in the sky, he is a husband, a father, a brother, a godfather a grandfather and a great friend to so many. <br> <br>Jose is survived by his wife Maria (Baby), his son Ronnie (Coree), his daughter Mylene (Chappie), his brothers Ramon (Rosel), Roger (Suzette), Jimmy, his sisters Ning Ning (Ben), Elena (Rody), Lydia (Raul), his grandkids Noah, Nate, Mila, his nephew Richard-Anthony, his nieces Ciara (Camilo), Caralyne, Camille, and by many extended family and friends throughout North America and in the Philippines. <br> <br>Jose was predeceased by his mother Librada, father Jose Sr., brother Crispin, and brother-in law Ben. <br> <br>Jose moved to Winnipeg in 1974 and his family soon followed. He worked at New Flyer Industries for 35 years, before retiring with his beautiful wife to travel to places all around the world. One of their stops included the holy land of Jerusalem where on their second visit they renewed their vows to each other. <br> <br>Our family would like to extend our greatest gratitude to Seven Oaks Hospital, Dr. Fatoye and Dr. Mendoza and the nursing staff on Floor 5, Palliative & Home Care, Cancer Care Manitoba and everyone else who has helped provide care over these very tough months. <br> <br>Visitation (Lamay) will be held from 6:00 - 11:30 pm Thursday, August 25th at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Mass to be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 26th at St Paul the Apostle Parish, 2400 Portage Avenue, followed by the burial at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue at 1pm. A reception will be held directly after the interment at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. <br></div>
