<div itemprop="description">HEATHER BARCLAY PERRY EWACH (nee Hardy) LPN <br>1938-2016 <br> <br>On Monday, December 12, 2016 Heather passed peacefully at the Grace Hospice, 160 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 78. <br>Heather was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Thomas Ewach in May 2016. She leaves to mourn three brothers; Clifford Hardy (Dianne), Donald Hardy (Jo-Ann), and Albert Hardy (Shirley); sister Ivy DeBono; nieces Virginia Krahn (Tony), Peggy Love (Daryl), Ruth Hoskin, Elizabeth-Ann, Su-Ann, Christian Perry (Linda), Pamela Chan (Christopher), Rachel King (Tyson), Angeline East (Kevin) and several great nieces and one great, great nephew. <br>Predeceased by her father Clifford Thomas Hardy (Perry), mother Jessie Barclay Hardy (nee Porteous); and a brother Gordon Lawrence Perry Hardy. <br>Heather was a valued member of the Hardy (Perry) family. Our father, had a heart attack in his forties, resulted in all the family travelling to England, which resulted in Heather, attended a Girls School and worked on a farm. Returning to Canada six years later she worked at St. John’s College in the kitchen. Shortly after she completed a Licensed Practical Nurse Course and worked in Several Hospitals. In 1968 she married Robert Ewach, and enjoyed 48 years together, travelling to many places including Israel and Hawaii. She did volunteer work and sponsored a child in the Philippines. She took many courses, including Cosmetology, flower arranging and attended the University of Winnipeg as a mature student. She loved to play her accordion, keyboard and had a beautiful soprano voice. Heather had a deep abiding faith in her Lord and Savior. During her lengthy illness she was deep in prayer for family and friends. <br>The Pallbearers will be Donald Hardy, Daryl Love, Tony Krahn and his son Nolan Krahn, Richard Harrison and Bruce Harrison. <br>Sincere thanks to the doctors, nursing staff, support staff and volunteers of Grace Hospice palliative care for the loving kindness shown to our sister. <br>Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. <br>Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Glen M. Knutson officiating. Interment to follow. <br></div>
