<div itemprop="description">GORDON CLARENCE KENDALL <br> <br>Gordon Kendall, beloved husband of the late Ileen Kendall, passed away on November 25, 2016 at Grace Hospital with his daughter and grandson at his side. <br> <br>Born on July 28, 1922 on the family farm near Rosebank, Manitoba, he was raised there. He was employed at various jobs and spent some time in the Canadian Army. Then he became employed at Canada Post (Winnipeg Post Office) and remained there until retirement. On June 21, 1947 he married L. F. Ileen Dracass. They were married for 58 years. <br> <br>Gordon was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His main interests were his family and his home. He enjoyed going for long walks, gardening, and travelling in Canada and the United States. For many years he was a member of Harstone Memorial United Church. <br> <br>He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Cheryl Morrison, grandson Bryan Morrison, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doreen and Jack Waddell, sister-in-law Margaret Dracass, brother-in-law Burt Mitchell, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Lucy and Nick. <br> <br>He was predeceased by his wife Ileen, his parents George and Jessie Kendall, and his brother Wilfred. <br> <br>The family extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Elkin and Dr. Cho for their care over the years, and also to Dr. Friesen and the wonderful staff at Grace Hospital TCU for their care and support during his stay there. <br> <br>A graveside service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordon’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba. <br></div>
