Ethel Beck
April 16, 2017
Ethel Elizabeth Beck (nee Davie) went to be with her Lord and Savior April 16, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband James Beck, her parents Bertha Davie and James Davie, and her brothers Harold and Walter Davie. She is survived by her brother Clifford Davie (Anne); her son Robert Beck; her daughter Beryl Baldwin (nee Beck) (Allan); and by her two grandchildren Joanna and Josiah Baldwin.
She was never afraid to go up to a stranger and start up a conversation, and had a gift for making people feel comfortable and safe around her, which allowed her to help many people as a registered nurse for over twenty years.
She was a stubborn and passionate woman. She was involved in several women’s groups, led many Bible studies, and became known around the city as a prayer warrior who was always witnessing and helping bring people to the Lord.
She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
We want to thank the staff at West Park Manor for the care and compassion they showed Ethel.
There will be a service honoring her life at Trinity Baptist Church, 549 Gertrude Ave. at 2:00 PM on April 29, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
