<div itemprop="description">Eleanor Elsie Corrie <br> <br>It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Eleanor Elsie Corrie (Brunn), age 82, on February 25, 2017 at Grace Hospital after a brief illness. <br> <br>Eleanor is survived by two sisters, Elma Doak and Marion Demery, both of Winnipeg; her children; Brian Corrie of Winnipeg, Christine Corrie (Rejean Robichaud) of Fredericton and Kathleen (Colin) Burton of Winnipeg; her granddaughters, Carolyn Sirois (Peter Munroe) of Winnipeg, Dixie (Nathaniel) Wortman of Fredericton, Hayley Myshrall (Cameron Bowie) of Fredericton, Carly Burton and Jenna Burton of Winnipeg. She is also survived by her former husband of many years, Donald Corrie and his siblings, Joan (Peter) Wright of Delta BC, Robert (Audrey) Corrie of Gimli MB and James (Cheryhl) Corrie of Hillside MB as well as many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and William Brunn, brother William Brunn and brothers in law, Clayton Doak and Ernest Demery. <br> <br>Eleanor was a wonderful mother and grandmother who valued her family first and foremost. She volunteered for a number of years with the Home and School and Brownies as “Tawny Owl”. She worked for a number of years in The Bay’s credit department and later for Cargill Grain. Eleanor enjoyed bowling, gardening and lively card games at family gatherings where she was known for her quick wit. <br> <br>At Eleanor’s request there will be no formal service. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association. <br> <br>The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Grace who provided compassionate care. <br> <br> <br></div>
