Eleanor Anne Annandale (Payne)
December 4, 1935 – December 9, 2016

Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home. She will be greatly missed by her husband Eric, her children David, Michelle and Robert, her granddaughter Charlotte, and her sisters Mary and Beatrice.

With Eric, Eleanor travelled the world, visiting countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, and they were married in Paris. They would return to Europe many times in the years to come, giving their children extraordinary experiences that would fuel their own lifelong love of travel.

Eleanor was a scholar, getting her MA degree in French. She was a teacher, touching the lives of many students from kindergarten to university. She sang with choirs, played piano and guitar, and composed children’s songs. She was the kindest, gentlest person, and the most loving, wonderful mother. To know her was to love her. Her radiant smile was the visible expression of her love for us, and she showed us how to be good people by being the best.

We would like to thank the staff at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home for having taken such good care of our mother.

Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on December 17, 2016, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, we would like to invite people to make a donation to Sistema Winnipeg, or to a charity of their choice.
