<div itemprop="description">DAVID WILLIAM PIKE<br><br>Peacefully on December 24, 2016, Dave passed away with his family by his side at the age of 76 years.<br><br>Dave was born August 11, 1940 in Stonewall, Manitoba. As a child, his family moved to Winnipeg, where he attended Chapman School, Royal School and Charleswood Collegiate. He worked for Goodyear for 40 years retiring in 1997. He was also an active volunteer within the community. In retirement he enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and wine making.<br><br>He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie (nee Stobbs) of 47 years, his three children Jennifer (Jeff) Diehl, Kathleen (Carey) Storozinski and Murray. His memory will forever be cherished by his prides and joy, the apples of his eye, his grandchildren: Lauren, Patrick, Courtney, Kayla, and Mark. He also leaves behind his sisters Carol (Bob) Buchanan and Brenda (Elliot) Wach as well as numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>The family would like to send their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at 3 West Special Care Unit from Deer Lodge Center. Their loving and compassionate care given to Dave and family during his entire time at the center cannot go unrecognized and is truly appreciated. <br><br>Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba in his memory (www.alzheimer.mb.ca).<br><br>God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.<br>He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’<br>He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.<br>He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.<br>He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,<br>God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.<br></div>
