Daniel (Danny) Thomas Bencharski
January 14, 1961 – February 18, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Bencharski on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home in Winnipeg, MB.

Left to lovingly remember and miss Danny are his nine siblings, Christine (Patrick) Manaigre, Frank (Pat) Bencharski, Brian (Gwen) Bencharski, David (Linda) Bencharski, Doreen (Andy) Holowaty, Wayne (Sandra) Bencharski, Gregory Bencharski (Ellen), Gerald (Stephanie) Bencharski, Joanne (Cameron) Ogilvie; also his daughter Jynylle Bencharski of Saskatoon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his loving parents Helen and Paul Bencharski.

Danny was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan on January 14, 1961. Danny grew up on a farm near Elfros and attended school in Elfros and Foam Lake. Throughout his younger years he enjoyed playing sports; specifically hockey with the Elfros Eagles, curling and baseball. When Danny finished school he settled in Wynyard and worked at the Lilydale chicken plant first as an employee and then later in a Management position. Danny was very well liked and respected, and had a close bond with his nieces and nephew in Saskatchewan.

Around 10 years ago Danny decided to move to Winnipeg to be closer to six of his brothers and sisters and his mother. While in Winnipeg Danny enjoyed working at Dominion Carpet Cleaning until he fell ill with kidney disease and some other health issues. He enjoyed spending time with his family here in Winnipeg, especially his brothers Wayne, Gerald and Frank.

Cremation has taken place and on his request his remains will be returned to the farm where he grew up in Saskatchewan. This will happen at a later date.

Special thanks to his brothers Wayne, Frank and Gerald for always being there to help support Danny during his time in Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
