Cecile Tario ( Dutour)
March 4, 1926 – February 1, 2017

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Cecile Tario at her home on February 1. She was raised in St. Francis and McCreary, Manitoba. While working one summer in Victoria Beach she met the love of her life Morris Tario. They were together ever since. In 1949 they married and moved to Winnipeg to begin their life together. There they raised 3 children and lived a full life. They enjoyed many fun fill times with family and friends in Winnipeg and at their cabin at Sandy Hook.
Cec always worked in retail sales because she just loved dealing with people. She could sell them anything because she genuinely wanted them to love what they'd bought. She was never able to sit still and always had a project on the go, from knitting to crafts to quilting, she created many beautiful items for all her family. Cec loved her card games, the casino, and cribbage. It was hard to beat her at cards. Another love of hers was curling and she never missed a game.
In 2009 Cec and Morris celebrated their 60 anniversary. Then 3 years later she lost her beloved Morris. A year later, she moved to Tsawwassen, BC to be near family and began a new chapter in her life. This included new friendships she developed at the Waterford where she resided, a cruise to Alaska and a trip to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed helping out at The Quilted Bear, where she still loved dealing with the customers.
She will be greatly missed by her 3 children; Carol Tario Bobick (Dennis), Merle Lewis (Ken) and Earl Tario (Debbie); her 4 grandchildren James Chorney, David Chorney (Jennifer), Kevin Bobick and Nicole Bobick and her 5 great grandchildren - Liam, Autumn and Winter Chorney and Drew and Zachary Chorney. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation has taken place in Vancouver, BC. There will be a Celebration of Cec's Life on March 4, 2017, her 91 birthday, at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
