<div itemprop="description">On Wednesday, September 9, 2015, Bertha died at the age of 88 years, at the Grace Hospital. <br /> <br />She was predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Woychyshyn, husband Jack &ldquo;John&rdquo;, brothers Victor Woychyshyn and Anthony Woyton, father-in-law Walter John Wilkinson and mother-in-law Caron Wilkinson, and her sister-in-law Mary Woychyshyn. <br />She will be dearly missed by her step-son Jack (Dee) Wilkinson, step-daughter Karen Kostynyk, nieces Patricia Maloshicky, Theresa Acuna, Geraldine (Gordon) Anderson, Cheryl (Lyle) Mack and their families, sister-in-law Mary Woyton, cousins and friends. <br /> <br />After Bertha finished school, she trained and secured a career as a stenographer, clerk and secretary. After her retirement from Statistics Canada, she travelled to Europe and South America to enrich her love and understanding of her Ukrainian cultural heritage. <br /> <br />A favourite pastime was entertaining her family and friends with her wonderful piano playing talent. She spent many summers enjoying time with family and friends in Gimli where her parents had retired. She will be remembered by her nieces and their families as a kind, loving, good humored Aunt. <br /> <br />The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Oakview Place ExtendiCare for the loving, dedicated care they gave to Bertha. <br /> <br />A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Gilbert Funeral Home, 50 1st Ave, Gimli, MB, followed by internment of her ashes in the Gimli Community Cemetery. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Bertha&rsquo;s name, to a charity of your choice. <br /></div>
